The El Macero Fashion Show was SOOOO much fun! Our amazing models Brenna, Gabriela, Julie, Gaelyn and Nika showcased the designs to perfection, and the audience was so receptive and enthusiastic. The boutique was well received too-   and I met so many cool people! I was pretty intimidated to showcase along with 3 project runway star designers, but they were so cool and Courtney Dempsey, anchor with CBS Good Day Sacramento was incredible with how she gave a thoughtful, animated commentary of the  entire runway and then had the designers come up for questions and answers with the audience. It really bonded everyone and made it very meaningful. It was a very special opportunity and I think people were really able to understand what Kombucha Couture is about, and what we are trying to achieve long term- to create a sustainable new vegan leather with far reaching applications across many industries and aspects of life and culture. Live culture! Sweet day! See pics below, and feedback from the El Macero Fashion Show Committee…word on the street was that this was the best show in the 50+ years of this beloved annual event. The Fashion Show Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in making this year’s El Macero Fashion Show: Fashion Capitals of the World a wonderful success! The entire day was wonderful and there was an immediate feedback from our guests that they loved the show, “it was the best one ever”. Imagine that, after 50 + years of having fantastic fashion shows. A most beloved tradition within our club. Almost all the vendors shared that they were so happy to be included in this years event!

The designers did a wonderful job working with the models. Again, the models said they had so much fun and loved being part of the show. What a fantastic group of fabulous and gorgeous models! And then of course were our outstanding designers, boutique, El Macero Pro Shop and fabulous Master of Ceremony, Courtney Dempsey. There was an extraordinary display of expertise and talent!!

In addition to all of the above mentioned participants, it is always well deserving to mention a huge note of gratitude to the El Macero staff who are part of the behind the scene team: food and beverage service, our photographer, office and management support, our members that were model assistants, ushers, raffle support and a Social Committee that worked as a team to present this year’s “Fashion Capital of The World”!!
